George Bush Park Bike Trail

Very good place to go for a long walk run or bike. Beautiful trees everywhere. The downside is there’s typically lots of standing water after a hard rain and the trail is not very wide which makes it difficult for bikers when there’s a lot of pedestrians. Great views and shaded areas, and a lot of times you can see wildlife especially at the bridge area such as water birds or small alligators swimming around.

Be nice if they had maps posted at intersections in the paths, but nice place to bring your kid for a ride

Great place for an undisturbed run or bike ride. Nice scenery and shaded in some spots.

Best spot for a fun family bike ride or even a good workout park ride on the westside. They have rebuilt the buffalo bayou bridge and there is plenty of wide open space. There is even some decent off road biking spots that are not super technical but still fun. My daughter loves riding here at 9 years old, we usually get in 11 miles out and back good opportunity to get her outside and off the electronics.

Countless miles over the years on this trail. Great for cycling, however need to watch out for the occasional pedestrian with their head in the clouds. Otherwise great 13 mile stretch with only one short section that has to be shared with cars. Since it's in the Barker reservoir, it does tend to flood very easily, especially after a hard rain. And even after the water recedes, there is the silt that has to be cleaned up which could take an additional week or two. That being said, I still ride this trail religiously.
