It was a beautiful late September day, the sun was shining, a cool breeze was in the air and everybody was happy and in good spirits. The hike started easy but the trail became steeper and steeper with each step until we reached the glorious summit and each person achieved their victory over the mountain trail. The views at the summit are well worth the hike as one can see for miles and miles in each direction.

This was a beautiful hike. The trails were very well maintained and constructed. The parking lot was full, but there was a lot of space on the multi-use trails. We parked at the trailhead for the loop trail and connected with the Lichen Peak Trail. It starts out very steep, but my 3 year old did the full two mile loop. Beautiful lichens,near the summit. Please,stay on the trail as some of them are very old and fragile.
