South Table Mountain Peak

Always been a favorite. Great workout, over 1,000 calories from the east pkng lot to the steps and back.

What an awesome trail. Only 25 minutes to get to the top and 25 to get down. Must warn you the incline can be very difficult for someone not use to the altitude or someone carrying a heavy backpack. Watch your step because some parts are rocky but for the most part is very solid. There is a little climbing involved so I wouldn't recommend taking someone with crutches or a hurt leg. Got some beautiful pictures and love to see this one in every season.

One of my favorite places to hike and mt bike. Easy to find great views from Golden, Applewood, Lakewood, the mountains, and Denver.

What a great hike! We took our Webelos Den and families on a hike there. The kids did great. The trail we took was easy. It was mostly wide and smooth. There were a few spots that were rocky or kinda steep, but the 6 year old we had with us had no problems. The parking was not really a lot, and probably only fit about 10 cars. It was not very busy on a Sunday afternoon, with warm early Spring weather. It was pretty windy. I hope to go there again sometime. I only gave 4 stars because of the lack of wildlife. It could have been the season. It's worth a trip.
