You pass by this place on the Castle Trail, so why not stop? The landscape is beautiful.

There is more than one way up to Walker's Dream but if you are a beginner hiker and you aren't prepared to push yourself, then this hike may be be difficult for you. I also suggest hitting the trail early because once it starts to warm up there is a good chance you will encounter snakes who are only wanting to sun themselves. I saw two snakes coming back down: One was a bull snake, the other was a rattlesnake. The ruins of the house are gated but there is plenty of space to walk around and among the ruins, just don't expect to walk among the actual walls of the house.

Well traveled multi use trail. Good views, but it was cloudy and very muddy. Crowds were diminished but not by much. There needs to be more spaces in the parking lot.
